Over Half of Carnival’s Cruise Lines Will Resume Cruises This Summer

Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise company operating nine cruise lines and over 80 cruise ships, will have over half of their cruise lines resuming service by this summer.

The cruise lines that do start back up will have a gradual return to service and not the entire fleet all at once. Here is a look at the different Carnival Corp. brands and the start date for each one.

AIDA Cruises is currently offering seven day cruises around the Canary Islands on AIDAperla.  AIDA was the first Carnival brand to resume cruises and is the company’s German cruise line.

Princess Cruises will have two cruise ships offering UK cruises starting on July 31 for Regal Princess and August 30 for Sky Princess.  Port stops include Liverpool, Belfast, and Greenock with cruises lasting from three to seven nights.

P&O Cruises will offer short sailings on flagship Britannia this summer and seven night cruises on Iona.  The cruise ships will depart from Southampton and sail around the UK Coast.  The cruises will begin on June 27, 2021.

Costa Cruises will resume cruises out of Italy in May.  Costa Smeralda’s first departure is scheduled for May 1 and the cruise ship will offer a variety of three, four, and seven day cruises around Italy.  A second ship, Costa Luminosa, will resume service on May 16 and sail out of Trieste offering cruises to Greece and Croatia.

Cunard will return with voyages on Queen Elizabeth starting in July.  The vessel’s sailings will comprise of British Isles scenic cruising and special Sun Voyages, sailing to where the sun is brightest.

At this time, it is unknown when Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises Australia, and Seabourn will resume service.

Carnival Cruise Line currently has all cruises canceled through the end of May.  Holland America Line has all cruises canceled through the end of June. P&O Cruises Australia recently extended their pause in sailings through the end of July.  Carnival’s luxury line Seabourn has all cruises canceled through the end of June.
