15 Instagram Worthy Spots Around the Myrtle Beach Area

Pier 14

From fishing to a delicious restaurant with live music, Pier 14 is the perfect spot for capturing all the beach vibes. Check out Pier 14 Restaurant & Lounge for fresh seafood and a laid-back atmosphere that is quintessentially “the beach”.

There is nothing more iconic in the Myrtle Beach skyline than the SkyWheel. Throughout the year, the SkyWheel lights up at night with vibrant colors, smiley faces, and light shows. Bonus points for getting a picture from the top of the SkyWheel!

The Beach

The only other MOST iconic location in Myrtle Beach would be the beach itself. With 60 miles of coastline, the entire Atlantic Ocean along the Grand Strand is waiting to be your Instagram photo backdrop. On the East Coast, the sun rises on the ocean in reds, oranges, and pinks.

Whale Mural

Located on the back wall of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, this mural is one of a kind and created by internationally renowned artist, Robert Wyland. This mural is one of 100 murals he painted across the world.

Conway Riverwalk

The Riverwalk Park in Conway, SC, is situated on the scenic Waccamaw River and serves as the perfect backdrop for photos of those you love, while the Main Street bridge coming over the Waccamaw makes for a striking photo all by itself.

Huntington Beach

Here is a two for one photo op! For those interested in capturing gorgeous nature or wildlife photos, or even snapping a few portraits, Huntington Beach State Park is always a good bet. It is also the location of Atalaya—a National Historic Landmark constructed in the style of the Moorish architecture of the Spanish Mediterranean coast.

Brookgreen Gardens

There are hundreds of Instagram worthy spots at Brookgreen Gardens, from the sculpture to the beautiful oaks as the backdrop. During the holidays, Brookgreen hosts Nights of a Thousand Candles where every inch of the gardens is lighted with thousands of twinkling lights.

Hollywood Wax Museum

Have you ever wanted your picture with Taylor Swift or Michael Jackson? Well, now is your chance at the Hollywood Wax Museum where you can take a selfie with every famous person you “meet”.

Goat Island

Located right off the edge of the MarshWalk near Drunken Jack’s, Goat Island is home to several goats that are now a local favorite. You won’t want to miss a video of the goats playing with each other!

Downtown Conway Mural

The train mural located at Kingston Park in downtown Conway is an iconic corner that pays homage to the train that went straight through Main Street back in the day. Kingston Park is filled with flowers and park benches, and at night, there are string lights that make the little corner feel magical!

Pelicans Baseball Game

Did you know that Myrtle Beach has its very own Minor League baseball team? The Pelicans, an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, play throughout the summer at TicketReturn.Com field next to Broadway at the Beach. The Pelican’s mascot, Splash, is always ready for a photoshoot.

Ripley’s Aquarium

Discover the splendor under the sea and take some pictures in the Dangerous Reef section, a glass tunnel with a view of sharks, fish, and stingrays swimming over your head. The new exhibit, Penguin Encounter, is a must-see – and a must-photograph.

This watersport is one of the best ways to get a great view of the ocean and Myrtle Beach skyline. Take a parasailing trip with Downwind Parasailing, and you will get both a great picture and some “street cred” for conquering the 500 feet heights.

Bonus: Check out Selfie WRLD, a new interactive photography studio with themed rooms and scenes, located in the Coastal Grand Mall. You won’t want to miss it!
